Description

Colleen Nicol's experiences as an in-home caregiver are often humorous, always poignant and sometimes sad. In the flick of a sentence, these tales jump from moments of high drama to sparks of laugh-out-loud hilarity. You'll meet the 94-year-old gigolo, the blind lady who could suddenly see, and the woman who couldn't stop shopping. Nicol's book goes well beyond the stories. It s filled with care-giving tips, expert advice and important resources. An indispensible guide for caregivers.

Summary: "Rarely has a dull moment."

Age can do a lot of things to people - including making them very grumpy. "Senior Days: Insightful Tales and No-Nonsense Help from the Frontlines of Eldercare" is a collection of anecdotes from the author about her days serving as a senior care expert - and the insanity and sadness that serves as an occupational hazard. With stories of over ninety year old sex machines, miracles of sight, and other tales, "Senior Days" rarely has a dull moment. A top pick for community library memoir collections.
